Golf Course Rules & Policies

Rule of Play:

  • Each golfer must pay the appropriate fee before they begin play.
  • Each golfer must have their own clubs and bag. BAGC does have rental sets for those golfers who do not own their own equipment.
  • Each group is responsible for keeping pace with the group in front of them.
  • Groups that consist of more than one foursome are not permitted to change foursomes at the turn.
  • Only four golfers are permitted per tee time.
  • All golfers are responsible for their own safety during inclement weather.
  • If a group is not a foursome, BAGC will try to fill the open spots with available golfers.
  • All alcoholic beverages must be purchased at the Blue Ash Golf Course.

Golf Carts:

  • You must have a valid driver’s license to rent a golf cart. Temporary licenses do not count. 
  • The golf course superintendent will set the cart rules (on or off path; handicap flags) each day depending on the turf conditions.
  • Each golf cart may have a maximum of two riders.
  • The driver of the golf cart is responsible for any damage caused to the course, and/or the cart, and any bodily injuries.
  • Blue Ash Golf Course prohibits any privately owned motorized/ non-motorized vehicles on the property. Exceptions to this rule are motorized push carts that carry the clubs and bag and personal vehicles made specifically for physically impaired golfers.


  • Spectators must pay the appropriate spectator fee if applicable.
  • If a spectator wishes to ride along in a separate cart they must pay the rental fee for the cart. Spectator carts may not always be available due to inventory on busy days.
  • An adult guardian following a child 15 or younger will not be charged the spectator fee. Please check in and let the golf shop staff know this is your intention.
  • Tournaments will have different rules for spectators. Please check with the golf shop staff prior to arriving to find out what the rules are for the event.

Tee Time Policies:

  • Tee times may be made up to seven days in advance by phone (513) 686-1280, online, or the BAGC App.
  • Each person may make up to three tee times.
  • For groups larger than 12 golfers please contact the golf professionals.
  • Weekend and holiday tee times may be made seven days in advance beginning at 9:00 AM. Blue Ash taxpayers may book these times in person when the golf shop opens.
  • Tee times may only be made for two to four players. Singles should come to the course and get on the list to fit into the next available slot.


  • Senior (60 and over) and military rates are available Monday through Thursday (except holidays).
  • Junior rates are for children 17 and younger.
  • Juniors under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All rates will be posted on the golf course website each season.
  • Rain checks are available for most times. Rain check values will be based on the number of holes played.

Pace of Play:

  • All groups are expected to keep up with the group in front of them.
  • BAGC has an expectation of a maximum of 4.5 hours to play 18 holes walking.
  • BAGC staff is trained to adhere to a three-strike policy when dealing with slow groups.
  1. 1st encounter: Inform the group they are behind pace and ask them to speed up.
  2. 2nd encounter: Inform group they have continued to lose pace and most likely will be asked to move one hole forward to allow the groups behind to spread out.
  3. 3rd encounter: Group may be asked to skip another hole or be removed from the course.

Dress Code:

  • BAGC asks that all golfers and spectators wear appropriate golf attire.
  • Men’s shirts are required to have sleeves and collared shirts are recommended. Shorts should be an appropriate length, no more than 2 to 3 inches above the knee being the shortest.
  • Ladies’ tops must cover the entire torso and may not be bra tops, bikini tops, spaghetti straps, or open on the sides. Ladies’ bottoms should always be an appropriate length. Skorts and golf-length shorts are recommended.
