Pro’s Tip:
Don’t let this hole get in your head. Favor the right side. Two large bunkers and OB guard the left side from tee to green.

Amateur’s Tip:
If your normal drive carries 165 in the air you may want to consider chipping up to the forward most tee box. Otherwise swing hard and hit it into the trees on the right to save the condos on the left.

Pro’s Tip:
Prettiest hole on the course, but don’t let your guard down. Water in front and on the left side of the green makes it a challenge for all skill levels.

Amateur’s Tip:
Water gets in your head doesn’t it! The cowards in the group will bail out to the right. The brave ones will hit their first hook of the day and end up in the water to the left of the green. Rejoice though, this is the prettiest hole on the course.

Pro’s Tip:
Tricky little dog leg to the right. Keep it in the fairway — you have no chance from the rough.

Amateur’s Tip:
Tricky little dog leg to the right. After hitting your high slice listen for the clank of wood from one of the condos on the right (remember any damage is YOUR responsibility). Don’t even bother hitting a second. Just take a drop and punch out from near the out-of-bounds markers. Once you do reach the green don’t be fooled, there is break there.

Pro’s Tip:
Hit one more club than you think. This is an uphill fooler.

Amateur’s Tip:
This is an uphill fooler. Hit one more club than you think. That should allow you to reach the bunker in front of the green. After leaving your first sand shot in the bunker skull it onto the green. Good luck making a long putt on this green.

Pro’s Tip:
The second shot is always a challenge no matter where you drive the ball.

Amateur’s Tip:
How hard can this be, it is only 302 yards? Just hit your usual slice onto the hill side on the right. If the heather is grown you have the chance of finding other balls even though you won’t find yours. After punching out onto the fairway hit your approach short of the green on the hill. Punch on and hope for a two-putt.

Pro’s Tip:
This hole has the most generous fairway on the course. But if you miss it, you will be writing a 5, 6, 7 or more on your scorecard.

Amateur’s Tip:
This hole has the most generous fairway on the course but you still can’t hit it. After hitting your slice you will be shocked to see you are back in the heather from the last hole. Now you find your lost ball from 14. Pay attention to the pin location this is a two-tiered green. Funny how you are always on the wrong tier.

Pro’s Tip:
Be ready to thread the needle here. This is the narrowest fairway on the course and is protected by bunkers and OB on both the left and right side. The green is large and undulating and leads to many 3 putts.

Amateur’s Tip:
Hit your driver in expectation of landing in the fairway between the two bunkers. Aren’t you surprised that the pine trees on the right came into play? Punch out and try and reach the green with your third shot. With your slice you will be amazed how close the OB is to the right of the green.

Hole #17

Pro’s Tip:
This is a short hole, but a waste bunker that crosses the fairway connects OB on the left and water on the right. The smart play is a lay-up shot of about 180 yards and a short iron to the green.

Amateur’s Tip:
Attempt to hit a 170 yard shot short of the waste bunker. Your slice will put you in the trees on the right. Punch out to the fairway and hit your third into the pond on the right. Once on the green curse the greens keeper for putting the pin on the front where you have no chance of two putting from above the hole.

Hole #18

Pro’s Tip:
Fairway is wide but hard to hit because it is a blind shot from the tee. Squeeze your second shot between the row of trees for a good look at the green that has a lot more slope than you think. A great finishing hole.

Amateur’s Tip:
#18 fairway is wide but hard to hit because it is a blind shot from the tee. Punch your second shot from out of the trees on the right and attempt to get across the gully with your third. This is a tough green so be happy with your three-putt 8.
